What's my age again?

By Marley

I'm reliving my age of 23 with my Blink 182 albums to start off the 1st blog of 2011. Welcome to the new year, I can almost say safely that I'm use to say last year (2010) and look forward to 2011. I hope that everyone is well enough, got over their hangovers and started to exercise again.

My New Years was spend with some of the Nocane band members at a house, we braai, gossip, laughed, listened to music and just enjoyed the party. The new year was blessed as well with some light rain driving back home and it was a nice cool down. Although I didn't attend any gigs (not that there was any since last blogging) I did however manage to spend time on Blue Moon one morning with Anna Mart aka Mama. Since UTC is now more or less a month time (that feels like Christmas to me) a lot of details have been filling the gaps very quickly. One a good friend gave me so many designs for our special UTC shirts that I didn't know what to pick. Seeing an actual person who can print named shirt gave me a light stroke and now hoping that we will be able to sell the shirts before hand or enough of it to pay the whole lot at least. Our transportation plans have been working out but not fully confirmed which is yanking my chain a lot but I guess patience does pay off. I was ordered by our float captain (Lee of NOA) to get him a pirate captain outfit...yea with no budget it was almost tuff, not.

I'm in luck at least, thank goodness I got some artist in me, the love for Pirates of the Caribbean (more oogleling Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom) and my mom. When our captain is wearing the full gear the photo of it will of course make an appearance right here on the internet. Further more it was fun doing some beading while sweating out my food poisoning I had a week before Christmas. Yes, it sucked big time going through that! Still my body has not been the same since which also caused me not drink and eat so much over Christmas and New Years. Don't know if it 's a good thing or a evil thing, doesn't mean it makes me feel any better.

So besides my personal life I'm looking forward to some great music again this year. My first big gig to attend is UTC, it's something we all are looking forward to and then picking it all up in after Feb no doubt at the Blue Moon for some more memories to be made.
