Waterfall - By Die Maan 2011 guide

“Is bringing me down”

Well maybe not a waterfall, yet but it is just the freaking cold! We are here! Yes Innibos starts today all over Nelspruit with teather shows, kick off shows, beer tent antics and the merry-go-rounds light up their lights. I’ve been hearing the sound check for the last few days which included one of our feature artists at Blue Moon, Jax Panik! Sound engineers thanks for the advertising even if you didn’t realise it

You can go back one post to see my guide to By Die Maan 2011, I can tell you that it’s going to be cold up on the mountain so better bring your blankets with you if you are sleeping over. We got lots of OBS, red wine and of course the rest of the line up to sooth your winter thirst. There will be coffee for sale at our kitchen along with some really good food. If you are one of those parents who are freaking out by driving out to the Moon and back I got good news for you. We are offering our very own Moon Bus that will be travelling between Innibos main terrain, Village Spar and Blue Moon. It’s 10 bucks per person and the bus leaves at 18:00 and will return just after the last act so no worries about driving, just locating the kids afterwards. Make use of this service as we want you all there and to travel safe.

Once again myself as a bartender can’t always stop you from drinking like Elvis Presley did at a time so if you going to drive yourself please do it safely. Don’t speed on the gravel road and don’t over take on dangerous corners, you never know what is around that bend. And we definitely don’t want to you to get a good time spoiled. If you had a little too much to drink just let us know and we will make a plan for you. If you are driving with someone else please make sure they are sober, cops are on a patrol in the town. Okay enough lecturing now back at the Innibos.

I’m in a bit of a dilemma this year, so many good things happening around town. Wednesday night at the main terrain we got some Elvis Blue who is not shabby (in looks and music) and the Parlotones are doing their thing on the main stage. But I’m more interested in seeing BOO! At the MK Kliphard stage, yea last year I gave it all a complete miss but this year I want to see the boys do their thing on stage in Nelsparta. I like BOO! Chris is an awesome musician and of course my interest in bass playing is just fuelled even more when I listen to their music. But then again my friend Ewie (or Ewald) is playing with 5 other musicians (which includes my good friend Roelof) at Pronk Klein Theater which is in Murray Street (just past the Spar top parking lot) and it is an open mike session. Think you got talent to sing then you can try it at Pronk on Wednesday (that's tonight).

Friday night I’m not even going to begin on that other than the fact that if you don’t want the masses, dust filled air of the main Innibos then get your sexy ass up our mountain for By Die Maan. You can get your tickets still at Look&Listen Nelspruit in Riverside Mall (get your tickets here as well) or if we are not your thing then Pronk is hosting the Black Cat Bones! Yea baby Kobus and Andre are going to do a gig in Nelsparta for the first time in very very long time and from what I saw on the Pronk FB group they excited to play here. Make sure you get your ticket before hand to avoid disappointment of not getting in there.

If you still don’t know the line up for our Friday night show where the hell have you been? Just go back one post (again) or go here to check up. We going to Parow into another No One’s Arc of a Black Hotel to become the aKing of the Panik!

Saturday night, man oh man I think by this time us locals are in such a party mood still that you can’t dimple it by being a spoiled sport. Saturday of course at By Die Maan we got a DJ line up for you! 8 DJ’s in counting! Yea man so all you people and lovers of dance music this one is really just for you. Ryan Dent, Craig Massiv, Rob Toca, Craig de Sousa and the beep I mean the list goes on. Last year we had people dancing till in the early hours of the morning so we doing this again. From we will be pumping it up at the Moon. And it easy if you are making use of our camping this year, when you tired you can go have a snooze in your tent and be up again to have a party! Be on the look out for some our local lads as well like DJ SideTrac.

Either way whenever you are a pop sensation or a rock star or a dance queen you are covered this year with Innibos festivaties. I'll be dropping in on the sheep heard (the main terrain) in the week to do some scouting and then I will be landing on the Moon on Friday! Keep it safe, enjoy the arts and rock on!

Peace
